Persephone's Garden - Original Painting
'Persephone's Garden'
Acrylic on Canvas Board, 5x7 inches
In Greek mythology, Persephone is the queen of the Underworld and the goddess of springtime. The daughter of Zeus and Demeter, she is famously abducted by Hades and, after eating pomegranate seeds, is fated to divide her year between the living world and the land of the dead. The duality of Persephone inspired the color palette for this flowery piece.
Dark and dreamy, the painting features subdued shades of pink and teal that contrast against brighter shades of blue and magenta, set against a navy and gold backdrop. The deeply textured surface adds depth, dimension, and creates a tactile experience. Already fitted into a thick, black frame, this painting is ready to fill a gap on a gallery wall, accent a bookshelf, or add a pop of color to a desk.
Dimensions including frame: 7 x 9 inches
